Yorkton, a city of 17,000, is located in east central Saskatchewan, at the junction of the Trans Canada Yellowhead Highway (Highway 16), and provincial Highways 9 and 10.

It is less than two hours north-east of Regina, three hours east of Saskatoon, and about five hours north-west of Winnipeg. All three cities are served by national and international airports.
